I post a lot about pregnancy & post-partum, but I also love working with women in peri-menopausal, menopause, and those in retirement. For the same reasons I love pregnancy, these times are of great importance. Each are openings in life for change and growth. You can choose to heal, and grow around your wounds or triggers. Or we can continue to hide or be in denial around these things. And for me at 45, this is my reality as well. Feeling hot for no reason, and having hormonal shifts that you never thought would happen. Add in parents needing support, and it becomes all about how to take care of them. I think about my clients that have parents who are sick, while also raising kids...how do we do it? How do we tend to all the things that need to get done and not end up flat on our backs in bed? The answer is self-care and letting self-care go, when you have sick parents or children, is super easy. As a care taker, it is easier to put your family first over yourself. What happens when you take your life jacket off, and put it on someone else? You get sick! Here is my list of things that helps you feel taken care of and supported.
The question becomes, do you let yourself become the martyr doing everything for everyone else? Or do you set some time for yourself every day to take care of yourself, so you can better take care of others? Here are some classes I am teaching that can better help you better put on your life jacket! Introduction to Energy Awareness Class: Saturday July 29th 2pm & Saturday September 2nd 2pm Energy Awareness Class: Starts September 9th Saturday at 2pm Spirit Birth Dance Class: Starts Monthly
