Here are some of my favorite Cleanses to start in February or March! Why this time of year? Spring time is a great time to cleanse the liver. If you are seeing me regularly you know this is when I start encouraging clients to start looking at there diet. You may remember me talking about the emotions of the Liver last year, and why it is important to cleanse. Spring is the time of Wood element, and a time to give your Liver and Gallbladder a break. Liver energy in its healthy form feeds the heart so that we experience joy in our cycles of learning and during growth periods! We set healthy boundaries with Joy, and can experience “the knowing” that we are just where we need to be, right here, right now. Liver energy out of balance leads to irritability and anger. Long term constrained Liver Qi leads to depression. So, can you see where I am going with this?!? So here are some ideas to get our bodies happy and healthy for the summer!
Easy Cleansing Just cut out of your diet Sugar, Alcohol, and Caffeine. Give your self 3-4 weeks of loving your body by removing these strong chemically altering foods from your diet. You can replace sugar with Stevia or Xylitol. I love green tea in the morning instead of caffeine. I also love Kombucha as a way to relax at night, and get some good probiotics after dinner!
