Well the healer got sick, and it made me think of all the tricks that I use when I am sick. What happens when I'm sick? A lot of meditation, that is probably 95% of my healing regimen. I also receive acupuncture, get some cupping, me and my neti pot become close friends, and I take hourly supplements. At the end of this blog is a list of things that everyone should have for a sick day or week! But I really want to talk about meditation! I am excited to start teaching my Energy Awareness class in January. The philosophy of this class is about being present. There are so many ways that we energetically leave our bodies, and this leaves our bodies open to things like illness.
How do we energetically leave our bodies? When we dwell on past or future events. When we give too much energy to a person or situation. When we try to take on another person’s issues. I love setting down and getting quiet. In that space, you can see where your energy is. Are you still thinking about a Friend who needs help? Are you thinking about something you could have done in the past? Or is there something that you are preparing for like starting a project that has you constantly thinking about how it will complete? Anything that takes that much of your energy needs to be cleared. Some Taoist meditation tools that we will be learning in the next class can help you bring your body into the present so that you can actually bring forth and manifest those things in your life that feel so elusive. So what would it feel like to be more in your body? What would your life be like if you listened to that peaceful guidance that rings with crystal clear truth?
